This project, undertaken by Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council, saw the replacement of 140w Cosmopolis light sources for an LED alternative while preserving all compatibility with the current CMS system.

Vision Illumination proudly carried out this project for Gateshead Metropolitan Borough Council, transforming the lighting at Team Valley Trading Estate with energy-efficient LED alternatives for the previous 140w Cosmopolis light sources. This upgrade aligns with the project’s dual goals of reducing energy consumption while reinvigorating the estate as a vibrant industrial hub for the North East.

In place of the original fixtures, we installed 90w Version 1 luminaires, lowering the estate’s total wattage by more than 15,000 watts. Each luminaire’s advanced light engine has been carefully calibrated to complement the original lighting tone, featuring an 85+ CRI and a 3800K CCT for a clear, natural glow.

To ensure smooth integration with Gateshead’s existing Harvard Central Management System, we specified Inventronics 0-10V Dimmable Drivers, allowing real-time dimming adjustments for enhanced efficiency and lighting precision. With this project, Vision Illumination delivers a solution that pairs energy savings with aesthetic and functional improvements, reaffirming Team Valley’s position as a key industrial centre.
